Can anyone recommend these and know of one fairly local to me. Im in Stoke-on-Trent could persuade dh to drive me to about an hour and half away ( Any longer would have to be really nice).
Spent a fortune in Partners on Monday and they have used all of it already. I use all the poundshops etc just finding art and craft resources really expensive.

Our local council runs one, it's called "restore", perhaps yours does too?
You can fill a trolley for a one off payment or join as a member and go weekly. I don't belong any more as my garage was full of stuff after a year!

(the directory - from around the country - ignore the SE bit)
nearest one to me is about 40 mins away

You near Peterborough by any chance?
If so, where is it now because I'd heard that it had moved.

That's why I stopped going to ours! I had big plans for the bits & bobs I collected, then would forget what I was going to do with a dozen massive carboard tubes or 200 empty food trays

My local one has an annual fee (£16.00) BUT they check what you have chosen and do limit you to how much you can take (about a carrier bag full) They say you can return as many times as you like but as it is half an hours drive from me I would prefer to take what I need two or three times a year than return each week iyswim.
Sometimes there are lots of lovely things paper card materials etc to choose from other times not.
