I am thinking about ringing CIS to see if they do grants in my area, is there a special name for the grant or not? also, is it CIS i ask about funding for courses i have heard so much about?
Sorry if i'm its in the wrong topic didn't know which one :o

CIS is a good place to start for all info... if they don't know they will usually know where to send you ... good luck! :D

In our area it is called Childminder start-up funding rather than a grant (as you don't actually see the money) If there is a grant in your area you should have been told on your ICP. I agree with Kelly76 you should ring your local council and ask to speak to a childcare development officer, they usually know about all the funding available.
Good Luck
