Hi Im currently not registered for over night care but have been asked if I would do one night. The only thing is I only have a 2 bedroom bungalow and my 3 year old and 10 month year old sleep in 1 room and us in the other!
Do u think Ofsted would allow me to register? I wouldn't mind moving my 2 out for the night. I like to help parents as much as possible so hoping i can help!
Any advice would help please x

My understanding is that you have to be registered and also (I looked into it) be visited by the Fire Brigade, have mains fitted fire alarms, fire doors etc.

Not sure if it's changed now but be careful.

You don;t have to have a separate room - just their own bed. I have done overnight minding for years and mostly the child has had to share with my youngest. I am giving it up though after christmas as i think my daughter needs her privacy now that she is 10.

Hi thank u for that! As its a baby it will be in a travel cot anyway. Because my son and daughter share a room and we only have 2 bedrooms where do u think would b the best place to put him that ofsted would allow? Its only one night, and i wouldn't mind moving my 2 into our room for the night.
I use to do overnight but that was before i had my own 2! Always handy to register to look after on the odd night!
Many thanks, Claire

I would be tempted to have the cot in my room or just move one of your own children in with you and let the other share with the cot.
