i have 6 children after school and two of them love craft activities but as i have littlys aswell i need some easy ideas that they can do themselves with very little help and that dont take too much clearing up as i also cook dinner.
so far we do
painting pictures
playdough
drawing/colouring
pictures using stickers and crayons.

Modeling clay is great, salt dough also very popular. I also get mine to make their own games, based on any board games they like. Write their own books to read to the others or just for fun. Make scrap books of their time with me or any individual interests.
Get them to contribute ideas

precut stickers - Baker ross seel them all you do is peel off the backs and stick them down
gummed paper, can get precut shapes or let them use scissors if they can unsupervised
tissue paper and pritsticks easy to tear and stick
old argos books to tear or cut out with pritsticks
dried pasta/rice/vegetable play
veg printing I use paints and ink pads though more supervision is needed
junk box modelling sticky tape older ones can help younger ones to stick junk together
chalking - mine love this out on the patio as well as on paper or chalk boards
threading/lacing to create braclets etc using big beads or pasta shells and laces
hope some of them are of use to you
