Hey guys!! Im back lol went away from here for a while i had a break from childminding after having little man.

Some advice [please] so confussed!! Ok recently moved and rung ofsted who told me to do detailed risk assesment and they would issue a new certificate soooo i did.. i drew a floor plan of the whole house with everything in place including measurements and then wrote the risks and explained how id over come them.

sent it... 3 weeks ago to have a call last night from ofsted asking if theycould come today! I explained i was busy until monday so shes now coming monday.

Now previously i had an inspectioon at my old flat got graded good! now i have moved what exactly will they do when they come on monday???
just do a pre registation visit to make sure its all safe ect?? or a full bang inspection where they will re grade me??

BIT worried now :(

I don't know for sure but i'd imagine every time a c/m moves it's necessary for them to do a reinspection. Whether it's a full-on or just for safety i don't know, but if i were ofsted i'd be doing one somewhere in between to check the standard was still high. :)

Im sure that if you still have the same paperwork in place and have covered all safety issues in your new home, that even if Mrs O did do a full inspection, you will get the same Good grade. The amount of variation that there is between different inspectors, you may even get Outstanding. So try not to worry!

Hello....

Thought id up date you all..... Ok it was fine this morning, ofsted inspector turned up and wizzed around with me pointing out things i felt needed to be shown ect which she thought was well done as showing i know where risks are ect.. literlary went round house in 2 mins said all is great.

Said i could up my numbers and have over night stay which im pleased with....
so now can look after 4 under 5's plus my own two... and 1 over night! whole house is able to be used for minding.

She also said to get prepaired for a proper full inspection as my 3yrs is up from last and someone will be in touch with coming round over next few months...

I asked about eyfs planning.. she explained as long as im following legal requirements which are stated in booklet from pack i will be fine! to do observations, then evaluate with something to extend for next time is all i have to do.and for it to be linked with cards thats it.

so im really happy!!!! :)
