i have my Ofsted inspection Tuesday and i think i am ready for it just got some questions please. I give my parents a welcome pack do i need to put a copy of them policies in it, this is what is already in it
Contract
permission letter for assistants
obs/outdoor play consent form
infectious/notifiable diseases
usefull telephone numbers
complaints form
holiday form
child record form (doctors)

I give out copies of my policies to parents in their pack along with the type of things you have mentioned. I also do sample menus for meals.

Do you have an introductory booklet all about you, the things you do, sample menus etc? They go down well with Ofsted.
Also you are legally obliged to share children's routines with parents so think about putting together a routine sheet for each child.

yep done all that on my first visit and only got satisfactory last time i was only minding for 3 months. This will be my second inspection and i intend to move up a grade the questions she asked me last time i couldn't beleive them, so i hope they will be more realistic this time.
