yahh.. had inspection everything went well.. and I got an outstanding!!

which I'm very happy with.. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone
here how has answered all my queries and to Sarah for writing some
brill e-courses (which I'm still plowing through :) ).. this website is a great
support and inspires me to give me best and keep on being creative..

a young age that I loved working with children and childminding has been
a really rewarding career for me..I'm glad I started doing this xx

she liked how I just went along with the childrens led .. so they wanted to dig so we planted some sweet peas.. my children really love gardening at the moment so I made sure I had soil and seeds in.. I asked them lots of open questions.. asked them what we needed to do next.. basically got them to tell me what do to.. then we had snack.. then me LO wanted to have a go on his bigger brothers bike (which worried me incase he fell).. well I got the bikes out and luckily everyone was very good.. it was sunny so we put sun lotion on and both of the boys put their own cream on .. we talked about why we do this and about wearing hats and sunglasses.. she felt I'd set up my home so it was very child friendly .. everything at their height, child-led and that I was talking with them in a way where I constantly elicited reasons for doing things etc...
she really liked that I'd done photo albums for each child for them to look at, had good paperwork and good SEF and that the lil one I childmind was obviously happy and content. She didn't asked me as many questions as I thought she just let me get on with my morning as I would have done anyway.. she got on with reading my stuff so I didn't feel watched .. I hope that helps..x

Thankyou I am hoping for sun next week so we can go out into the garden too as I have loads of outdoor equipment. Well done you sound like you do an excellent job and outstanding on your first grading now that an acheivement.

arr.. am glad to hear it.. from what I've read of other childminders on this website everyone seems so enthusiastic and determined to be the best they can.. I'm sure we all will get at least goods and many outstandings!!

my inspector was really happy to see how happy my mindee and own child were
and how settled they were in my environment. one thing I did which I think I
took from one of Sarah's e-courses.. I did a table showing our routine and how this linked into the aspects and 6 areas of learning.. this really gave me confidence as I could see from this how much I was already doing without everything else.. I put this in the Learning Journals.. xx
