My Development Officer phoned yesterday she wants to come and do a pre ofsted inspection, which must mean they think I ma almost due for my ofsted inspection:eek: .
Now having a mad panic trying to work out what I need to do.

Don't panic! They are advisers and can't grade you.

Even if they say you are doing something wrong, you don't have to follow their advice if you are sure your way is right.

Take the best from what they say to you and file the rest.

Good luck! :D

Not so much worriedc about her coming, more the fact that her visit means I may get a real one soon.

I don't think this necessarily means your ofstead is due, in our area DO's are just working their way round everyone who received satisfactory at their last inspection just to give them a few pointers of how they might up their grade at next inspection. It is optional you don't have to have them round.

As I say I don't mind her coming, but she did say that I must be due my inspection soon as its working out about 5-6 months after registration round her at the moment.

Actually I welcome her coming as hopefully she will give me some helpful pointers.

:D Our DO's are doing the rounds - gathering good practice, stamping out bad practice (or at least putting the scares on the couldn't care less minders). She came round to mine - had a coffee, a chat about loads of things and that was it. Didn't go particuarly in-depth about my stuff - apparently she could see things where hunky dory!!! I hope so!

I have my inspection next week and got 5 days notice, I rang my DO straight away and she came out and did a pre-inspection and gave me some good advice. Good luck with yours, let me know how you get on.

Thank you, I keep thinking of things I haven't done or haven't got.
