Mrs Ofsted rang three weeks ago to say she was coming the next day. As it was half term I explained that I only had older children and was taking them to Chatsworth., but Friday would be OK. She said she couldn't do that and it would be next week -- and that is the last I have heard. Doesn't she know the torture she is causing, I stayed around that week (also a weeks holiday for our village school)in case she thought I was avoiding her (as if I would), jumped everytime the phone rang and held my breath until 9.30am had passed. (Is it right that if they haven't arrived by then they are not coming) Just how long can I keep up to date with everything and keep the house clean and tidy!! Why is she doing this to me! :panic: :panic:

A friend was phoned in Jan to say it would be soon - eventually had her inspection 2 weeks ago! Ofsted phoned to see when she would be free that week and came next day - no time to panic, she had been on edge since Jan.

Oh no, I will be a nervous wreck, it has been due since last November. I just want to get it over and done with. I have also realised that not one parent has ever asked what grading I got, so I keep telling myself that it doesn't matter and I don't care (but I do really) Also had new lo start this week, 14 months old, but so far he couldn't have been easier, just Mum will stay and chat and give him a bottle of milk to let him walk round with (which I don't allow). Haven't plucked up courage to tell her yet!

I have mindees, siblings - just 3 and almost 2. They arrive with bottles of milk and dummies in hand. They have learnt the routine of finish the milk or put it on table, along with the dummies!

Can't stand bottles being walked about, especially at those ages

If I were you I'd ring Ofsted and ask for the inspector to contact you. The last time I was told Ofsted would be visiting anytime during a month the inspector went on long term sick leave and then retired - I could have waited forever as I'd not been reassigned a new inspector

Ofsted called me in March said they would be out in the next few weeks and I have never heard from them since

My paperwork was up to date and everything now once again I am lagging behind so if they do call I will be in a mad panic I just know it

You could maybe try picking him up and putting him in a high chair saying something like "Let's just pop you in here with that drink sweetie, don't want you tripping over and knocking those beautiful teeth do we?"

My friend had a call from Ofsted during half term, and wasn't childminding, the ofsted inspector then told her she was going on holiday for 3 weeks, so it would be a short notice call, two weeks later she had a call the day before.
