In my letter I did a table of the days of the week and the times of the day and showed where the overlaps were through the week - highlighted in red. I then explained why I needed the variation and how I felt I would cope in offering it. Clearly you have a continuity of care issue.
If you could get your parents to write a letter of support - outlining that they want to use you for continuity of care etc. then its all good stuff in supporting it.
Then hopefully with a good wind and a sunny day, Ofsted will use good judgement.
