sorry I'm just having a dim moment! Once a child turns 8 are they then classed as over 8 so not in your numbers or are they counted in your numbers while they are 8 until they turn 9? does that make sense? lol

As soon as they are 8 they are classed as over 8.

If they are your own child you need to ask Ofsted to update your certificate :D
