Yahoo, my Certificate arrived in the post today (seemed ages ago that I started the whole proces). Please could someone help me decipher the conditions as I cannot remember (through nerves) as to what the inspector said I could mind.

I have a 1,5 year old and a 4yr old (starting school in September full time).

"may care for no more than 4 children under 8 years; of these, not more than 1 may be in the early eyars age group, and of these, not more than 1 may be under 1 year at any one time (E Y register).
when caring for 4 or 5 year old children who ar ein full time educatin, may increase the number in teh early years age group by the number of children in full time esucation, providing the maximum number is not exceeded (Early years REgister".

So does this mean then that in addition to my two boys I can take on the following:
1 x 0-4 year old
3 x 5-8 year old
and when my son starts school full time, I can replace him wiht another 0-4 year old.:panic:

2nd question:
Do I cover EFYS with children in their first year of school up until their 5th birthday and then it no longer applies for observations/planning etc - bit confused on this one.

Thank you all for your advice.

Yes i think you have deciphered the numbers quota correctly.

Secondly - you have to deliver EYFS to a child up to the 31st Aug following their fifth birthday

Congratulations on your certificate:clapping: . When he goes into the next age group don't forget that he will take one of the 5-8 year old places so you will need to keep one for him:). OFSTED will issue another certificate

Sorry me again.

Now that I am having queries, I am questioning my understanding again of my registration.

Please could you advise if this appears right.

"may care for no more than 4 children under 8 years; of these, not more than 1 may be in the early eyars age group, and of these, not more than 1 may be under 1 year at any one time (E Y register).

My son starts school next week , so am I right in the following understanding and my other son is 2.

1 x 0-1 age
2 x 1-4 (one being used for my 2 year old)
3 x 5-8 years old (one being used by my 4.5 yr old starting school full time)

Is once also allowed to replace any of my 0-4 year old allocation with a 5-8 yr old for after/before school instead?

Last question. I assume as long as I stick to my numbers at each session, it doesn't matter how many children I have on my register eg some do some days others do other days, some do mornings and others do afternoons?

Thanks for your advise.

You are right with your numbers and you have to be in these numbers at all times but does'nt matter if its differant children as long as you don't go over. Also you can have more over 5's as long as you don't go over your allowed 4 children.

Congratulations, what the other's have said is right.
But Ofsted will not automatically send a new certifcate when you son starts school, you'll have to phone and tell them and ask them to change your certificate.
