I had to cancel my 2 mindees today as ds is ill. I phoned dad to tell him I couldn't pick mindee up from school, dad said he'd make arrangements to collect him.

I didn't think to ring the school though.
Should I have rung the school so they could tell mindee that I wouldn't be picking him up instead & someone else would be or is this dad's job?

You could have rung school but you let the parents know so they have that responsibility. Your priority is your child if they are unwell surely?:D
