Sorry it's rambly.....i havent rang ofsted yet as this wont take effect from 21st Sept but....

I used to mind two brothers but mum is now on maternity leave with new sister. She will come to me in Sept...(looking forward to it) i have left a place for her.
Two boys will need to be dropped at school (10 mins walk)

At the moment I have 1 full timer (2yrs) 1 school drop off and another school drop off that comes 3 days a week but doesnt always come.

Now...my question is... i am only allowed 5 children under 8yrs but come Sept i will have 5 plus the irregular sch drop off.

Does anyone know or had experiences with variations...Do you think Ofsted will allow me to have 6 children for a 10mins walk down to school 2-3 days a week?

Otherwise i am going to have to let him go

I have had loads of variations, for loads of different things. Most have been agreed quite quickly, last year I ended up going to a panel meeting to fight for one, I got it and an apology from the Inspector who had refused it at the start!!!! It was definately going to the meeting.

I would say, write a clear letter, do a grid showing your week and the ages of children. It is all continuity of care. If you don't just ask you won't know will you.
