I know this is one of those things where im going to have to call Ofsted when it happens but was just wondering if anyone has moved house recently or moved and were due an inspection within 12 months?

The reason i ask is I have just found out that someone local to me has just moved and was told a risk assessment would be ample but because she was due an inspection within the next 12 months they decided to do a full on inspection in the new home but obvisoulsy she isnt allowed to mind in the new home until ofsted have been but to get a good/outstanding children need to be present so all very confusing/complicated.

Just wondered if anyone else has had/heard this as we are hoping (fingers crossed all is going through ok) to be moving in the summer & il be due an inspection next March

I'm moving in a few weks time and was due an inspection so I called Ofsted. They confirmed if I waited unitl I moved the highest grade I could get with no children was satisfactory. Anyway they came and inspected me last week, with my current children and have now said that all I need to do is send in a Risk Assessment when I arrive at new house and they will issue a new certificate.

Hope this helps a bit.

I moved house last september. I wrote a letter to ofsted telling them that I was moving and included a risk assesment of the new house. I was due my first inspection but they told me they would wait until I had children before inspecting me. They do seem to do different things though but you could e mail them and ask if they will leave your inspection until you have children.

Good luck with the move
