I was told at the induction training that visitors that stay for a while or frequent visitors will have to be disclosed.

so I phoned the good old care commission to get a disclosure form for my mum.
she then told me my mum had to come to the office to sign the documents.
I told her my mum stays in vienna and it is a bit far for her to come to sign docs....so she didn't know what to do and passed on my query.

nobody has ever tried to get non-resident people disclosed so they were unsure what to to.
turns out my mum won't get disclosed after all....will be up to me to make sure she is suitable to be around children (hihi these were the exact words of the CC) and I am not allowed to leave her alone with the kids...well obviously..

I had this too, my dad lives in S america, and Ofsted told me if he stays for more than 3 weeks will need one doing, Shes staying for a month in August. Ofsted said now theres no need for one as he lived in so many countries it wouldn't be done before it gets back. I just need to get parents consent and explain he'd never be left with the children.

When ofsted came to do pre reg visit I was told that as long as my inlaws didn't visit for 3 months didn't have to have crb check done. Just make sure that they weren't lweft wth children. My inlaws live only 3 hours away. To cover myself I have a small policy advsising this and stating that would give plenty of waning before they visit and a permission form for parents to sign to say they agree to have their child with me when inlaws are here. Always best to cover yourself.

Hope this helps?

I would call cc back and get them to put in writing. I was told I would have to get my in-laws disclosed as well (by the same person who told you blackhorse) as they live next door, but they wont be in here for any length of time and they also wont be left alone with the kids
