I think someone posted on here today saying that they were going to her one of two afternoons next week.
My inspections have always started between 9 and 10 in the morning. The last one last Jan08 started at 9am and finished at 3pm. The same inspector inspected a friend two weeks ago and did the same thing:eek:
I think they are normally 2-4 hours though.

My last inspection (a year ago) was in the afternoon because I said I went out every morning and also had a nursery pick up and I had 2 weeks notice.

Hi,
My inspection in November was in the afternoon, turned out quite well my daughter and 1 mindee were asleep for the whole inspection and the other mindee who was under 1 was only awake for 30 mins.

My partner works with after schoolers and the inspector came to the back door  at 330pm when all the teenagers were coming in from school.
The alarm was going mad with them all walking in (it's on an alarm when not locked), the little ones were in the garden playing a very noisy game with him while I was monitoring the big ones arriving from high school and organising bags and coats and shoes etc and the little screamer was... well... screaming.
It was total organised chaos with 8 children ranging in age from 2 to 16, 2 adults, a little screamer and an Ofsted inspector. She had to come after school though as that's when he works. She stayed 2 1/2 hours, politely refused to join us for tea and he got goods :D
My inspection was in the morning - she just said that was when she would come

my first inspection was 3:30 - 5:00 as thats the only time I had children but no under fives at the time.
who knows when my inspection will happen this time its late enough already but the later they leave it the easier as 3 of my eyfs children will not need monitoring as from sept yay but I doubt I'll be left till then lol

Well the inspector phoned this morning to say she was coming sometime between Monday and Wednesday next week and, if she wasn't here by 10am then it would not be that day.
