Hi everyone...
I had my first inspection a couple of weeks ago and got 'good' across all areas. I owe it to this site as I've gained so many ideas! Although I've been registered for nearly a year, I have only minded for around 2 weeks in total so it was difficult to show that I had met with all of the areas, especially with planning the next steps with a child that has only been on-role for 3 days. Anyway, thank goodness it's over now and I can concentrate on my GCSE maths again! The inspector did say that I needed to show evidence of pre-writing for the children, so i'm guessing that if I had supplied paper and pens for children to write shopping lists in my shop then this would have ticked the box? I'm still a little puzzled as I did have my writing table set up, book corner and practically everything in my house is labelled as my son struggles with his reading! It is hard to try and show everything that you do with children in just 2 hours and i'm sure that I forgot to mention loads as I was so nervous!
Well, lastly thank you to everyone for all your helpful posts!

Well done :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: Congratulations. Ofsted always have to find something, don't worry about the reccomendations. It's impossible to show them everything in 2 hours let alone 4 hours like my recent inspection. Fantastic result!!

Well done to you !
And yes little clipboards to add to your role-play and outside areas is ideal to show early writing skills! :)
