Hi there,
Had my first inspection and got good for all areas. The Care Commission Officer recommended that I get the parents and children involved more with assessing , etc with the quality themes.
Does anyone have any ideas. I thought I was involving both but obviously not.

Well done!! That's a great result. When you do your Obs and next steps do you get the parents to comment on them on a regular basis? If not this may be the way to go. XX:thumbsup:

its the EYFS that is done in England not Wales...
maybe you can do a daily diary where parents are ecouraged to write in it over the wkend or just sign to say they have read your comments.
Ask aprents to assist by bringing in a toy of the week to match up with an activity or colour or number or the week summin like that.
Involve children with planning .. *what would you like to do next wk maybe we could go to the .....* add it to the plan that *freddy* suggested the activity
Newsletters ... letting parents know what is happening in your setting, asking for suggestions from them on ideas on how to promotelets say Easter! try and get them involved but its hard with most parents working fulltime, mine are not great at it!
