I like how the care commission is big on childminders working in partnership with parents...

BUT

what about the care commission working in partnership with childminders???

I am waiting for my inspection to get registered since the 25 of february.

My CCO has been off for ages due to illness, which of course I can accpet. but they keep stringing me along for weeks on end..oh inspector will be back..then not...then maybe next week...then the week after.
So I said can I speak to the manager to see if he can arrange for someone else to do the inspection (as I was told that officer now will be out another 3 weeks at least)...woman on the phone said she will send him an email to contact me...that again was a week ago now...

I have done everything I was asked for and sent the completed pack away months ago.
officer was out in jan saying everything fine, liked my policies, just need to wait for disclosures (which cam in feb) then come back to check your fire alarms and the house and you will be ready to get going....

Had to get this off my chest....

That doesn't seem fair does it?

Do you have someone waiting for a space? That might get them moving a bit faster ;)

There seems to be such a back log on inspections so I imagine they have been doing these as they run April to April, with a bit of luck they will soon be to you.

I was bad and told them that I had someone waiting for a space even though the person that might need me hasn't confirmed anything yet

That's really not fair:angry: I hope someone comes out to see you soon. Keep harassing them till they get fed up with you and send someone out to shut you up!!!

I would keep calling them too until someone finally pulls the finger out! I hope you don't have much longer to wait

Keep ringing and annoying them they will eventually get someone out to you. One of my friends is in same situation and has been waiting ages as her CCO is off sick and apparently once assigned to them you have to stick with them.

I don't get though how there is no cover for someone that is long term ill or even on holidays. In my old job we all had to make sure we had someone in place to cover our workload while we were on holidays and if off sick there would be soneone making sure you don't come back to a backlog of work...
