what happens to the ones that are due an inspection - had to have everything into the care commission by 17th March. do thay inpect on the new themes as of april or will they just be behind with the ones they are doing.
i am not happy as i know it could mean that i could get 2 inspections in the coming year with them being behind, this happened a few years ago to - 9 months between them, her reasoning for this was old inspector was so far behind and she was trying to be infront.

That seems crazy doesnt it. Surely would be better if they were more organised in the first place. lol:D

Organised and care commission don't fit in tne same sentence unfortunately :(
I wouls hope that common sense would prevail and they would just inspect once. Inspections are changing to every 2 years so they can catch up probably so you shouldn't get 2 within 12 months, fingers crossed.

I would be shocked if you got two inspections within a year as the Care Commission are struggling to get round everyone at the moment. I know 2 childminders who were expecting their inspections in August & October last year & they are still waiting!

According to the CC website, if you score 5's and 6's in your inspection you will now be inspected every 2 years.
Can I ask a very silly question....how do you know what the themes they are inspecting on are? Just new to this only been minding 5 weeks xx

The inspection focus areas for this year are on the Care commission website, based on the 'Early years framework'
