hi i have had a phone call for me to look after a ladies child at the weekends but how much do i charge in the week its£3.00ph but about w/e any ideas

Weekends are unsociable hours...some add £2/3 pounds to their hourly rate...so £5per hour would become £7/£8 ph & some double it..so £5ph would become £10ph....
the choice is yours!

Personally I wouldn’t work weekends either but I think you need to charge at least another 50 per cent on top of usual rate so £4.50 would be reasonable but it depends on how much you really want to do it.

I work Sat morning but only charge an extra 50p an hour

Its your time, so charge what you would consider worth working a sat!! I personally wouldnt work for less than £50 an hour!!:laughing: My saturdays are the only days with my lovely husband and so i treasure them!! But each to their own!! x x

I would check what others in the area are charging but I wouldn't want to do it for less than £4.50.

I know i could charge more than 50p extra each but it is 2 children from 1 family my hubby works Saturdays i have no dependant children so why not work it is only every other Saturday 8.00 - 12.45.
I would charge time and half if for 1 child

I don't work them but would charge double if I was really needed so £7 per hour
(because I work in line with the parents don't you know,:laughing: :laughing: )

A friend of mine charges £3.50 an hour during the week and £7 an hour at weekends. I charge £3.50 anhour normaly and £6 an hour at weekends

I don't do weekends use it as family time but would not work for any less than £5 per hr.

I worked weekends last year and i would never do it again, even if i charged triple time it still would not make up for the quality time i get to spend with my family.
