Does anybody have any ideas on what to do about a 1 year old who screams for at least half an hour when left by her mum?

How long has the little one been with you ?

What happens when she stops crying is she ok then for the rest of the day?

How often do you have the child ?

Speak to parents and be honest with them. I wasn't once and coped with a screamer 3 days a week for months and months... my family were not impressed and I nearly lost another contract because of it, so you need to tackle this straight away.

SORRY CANT BE MUCH HELP, BUT I WOULD SAY BE THANKFULL ITS NOT ALL DAY, IVE HAD ONE FOR 9 MONTHS (oops) and he winges all day long!! not as bad as he used to be but still i would love it if he cried for half an hour and got it out of his system.

I would say try and distract them with something fun.
