As I already knew it was a Good - pulled up on some of my paperwork ie risk assessments and fire drill but did point out to the inspector that no where does it state exactly what we should be doing!

If you fancy a read you can find a link from my home page www.charnwoodchildminding.webs.com - it won't be on Ofsted's site for 2 weeks.

Well done on the good and I agree if there was a template of the ra they would have been easier to do for a lot of people. I was lucky that my network put on a training night for 2 hours.

I definatelly Agree!!

They have created the EYFS and only given guidlines!! I am glad about that in a way but nobody is sure if what they are doing is right!!

One Ofsted inspector in one area would say what we r doing is fine, another may totally disagree .... There are so many Ofsted inspectors, maybe they should all go on a training session to be told what they should be advising us to do .... If everyone worked from the same handbook things would be so much easier and we wouldnt be as worried about failing the inspections!

On a happier note well done on your report MelanieAbigail !! Good is a great achievement!!

Its the same everywhere I believe as you all know I was given a good grilling and made to wait for my result where other childminders in this area had hardly done anything and were given outstanding straight away as they had written two words about EYFS so they were trying. Now others with different inspectors have been pulled up for not having anything more than two words. You would expect them to be consistent wouldnt you! Its new to all of us and some dedicated way of doing things accross the board for all childminders from all areas would be very useful and level playing fields with inspectors and inspections would be very useful too.

Well done. :clapping: :panic:
