I didn't get two visits ( thank G :D ) but the inspector had to take her report to another inspector and had to justify why she thought I deserved an outstanding.

apparently the checking with another inspector is now the same if you get a good in all areas as well.

I only had one inspector and no mention of a second opinion. I haven't had my report through yet though and its been nearly three weeks since she came.

I only had one inspector and it wasn't until I asked her if I could tell everyone that she said the official line was that she had to have her decision checked and to wait until the report was issued.

I know others who have just been told the result by the inspector and no mention of double-checking or waiting for report.

I was told by my inspector that it could be a long wait as it may need to be audited by another...I got my report in 2 weeks so it could not have needed another checking...this was her first outstanding she had given so she may have been covering herself.
She also said she may need to ring if she needed to clarify anything but she never did.

When did this come into force? I got goods in all areas in November and it didn't have to be checked

Not with me but I have had colleagues that have been told not to assume that their grades are written in stone untill the paperwork comes through.

I was told I would be seen again in 3 years.

I wonder if it depends on the experience of the inspector. Also perhaps to begin with they were checking it with each other to make sure they were being .... consistent (lol).
