OK I'm planning how my garage will be converted to a playroom in the cheapest way possible. However, I will have my feezer, washer and drier on the floor and my boiler is on the wall. I am just wondering how ofsted will react to these, I was planning on using boards to divide them so that they are hidden and only put them on at night. Do you think ofsted would want a proper dividing wall with a door to stop the children getting near them?

Somewhere in the statutory requirements it says that children must not come into contact with laundry facilities...

I would suggest they are behind a lockable door :D

When i was on my food hygiene course we discussed this. Its perfectly feasable in a nursery environment but in our own home almost impossible to achieve, However in this case where the new room was not originally in the main home i would concur that a separation panel of some sort would be a good idea,
