I know I read on this site last week that someone had submitted their SEF and then couldn't get back into it to make changes.

I got fed up try to fill mine in and submitted it only half done - then I bought Sarah's E book on completing it properly and thought I had better give it another go - I also couldn't recall my submitted SEF - although there was an option to click on saying Saved/Submitted SEF's it didn't do anything - then I scrolled down and read some technical info which said you could click on new SEF and transfer the info across from your last one - so I did and it did!!

So updated a bit more and then submitted that one - as it does also say that when Ofsted decide to inspect you they print off your current submitted SEF and you can't amend it then.

Be careful though as it also gives option to start again completely and wipe all your info off - so choose options carefully.

Great news that you are finding my witterings helpful.

The online system can be complicated so like hh says, do be careful when you are updating!

i did eventually find out how to update the sef.
-Log in and go to Saved/Submitted SEF
-click on NEW SEF (i know, this doesnt make sense!)
-then it gives you a choice to create a brand new one, or create a new one based on your last submitted one.

easy when you know how, but not exactly easy to find, I hade to call the helpline to be told how to do it.

Hope that helps
