This is the compettion thread for all those taking part in the Potato growing, from the potato council.
I know there is an official competition, but I thought it would be fun to have our own too.
There will be a prize for the winners, one prize for each type of potato, there is 2 types. :clapping:
The same rules will apply as the offical competition, so no chitting till tomorrow.
The children here are all very excitied, we have our egg box at the ready to start the chitting tomorrow!
I have ordered a greenhouse from Ebay, it's fantastic, we're also going to grow tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, and anything else that might be easy! :D
Photos of your potatoes would be fantastic, just add them to this thread.
Good luck everyone.:cheerleader:
thanks for the reminder lucy i will get mine ready to plant tomorrow

No, don't plant tomorrow, just start chitting tomorrow!
We can plant on the 17th March.
I will need all results by Wednesday 24th June, results being the weight from both Rocket bags or/and both Vales Emeralds (not mixed types). Don't forget you need to wash and dry them before weighing. (Serious stuff this!)

chitting - is where you gove your potatoes a head start before planting them on the 17th...
all you need is an egg box and stick them in a nice light place and shoots will appear (the end with the most eyes, generally called the rose end (I think) need to be the end thats in the air....
good luck ladies
