i have my inspection some time next week and me and hubby have looked round the entire house this weekend and we just cannot find the house or car insurance certificates. I don't have copies either. Is this going to get me an inadequate? I have the schedules but don't know if they will accept that as proof of being covered.:panic:

I had my Ofsted Inspection a few weeks ago and I wasn't asked to produce either of these documents.

Are you able to phone your insurance company and ask for a copy just incase?

Hopfully they won't ask then. Would ask for a new certificate but don't think it would get here in time and also they are both up for renewal soon anyway.
Thanks for the responses feel a little happier now. Just can't believe I could manage to loose both forms.

I've never been asked for my house insurance docs.

I'd contact your car insurance company and see if they could e-mail/fax you a copy of your insurance certificate just in case

Good luck with your inspection

In 13yrs I have never had to show my house insurance--it's not even in my folder. But they have always checked my car insurance for business use. May be they could e-mail you a copy, its worth asking.
All the best for next week

I have been asked for my car insurance on previous inspections and so was my partner when he was inspected last year.

House insurance is not something I've ever been asked to show.

I am sure your car insurance company would email you something if you explain.

Thanks Annmac. I had my inspection the other week and they never asked to see them so it turned out fine in the end.

Kerry.
