GOOD!!!!!:) :) :) :)
I am so happy that I have stayed at a good grade!
Have done so much hard work putting the EYFS in place and it has all been worthwhile.
I was sooooooooooooooooo nervous and scared but the inspector was lovely and put at ease straight away.
She said that she can see that the little boy I look after is safe and well looked after and that he was happy in my home and could approach me easily. She oberved me brushing his teeth after his breakfast, playing with him on the laptop (he loves cbeebies website) and also his snack time. He had a sleep in the morning and when he woke up we read through a book together.
I only got 2 recommendations and they were:
1, Share the childs file with the parents. Although I discussed the child's day and activities with the parents, that I should show them his file on all his learning and development, maybe getting them to sign that they have seen it and do this every couple of months.
2, Contact the Food Standards Agency through Environmental Health to let them know that I am a childminder and that I provide the children with food (not heard of this before!)
Anyway, my advice is not to stress (easy to say I know) and to be yourself. If you have all your proceedures, planning, risk assements and policies in place and all your paperwork up to date, you will be fine.
I am very relieved and happy now, have worn the little one out in the garden, as it has been such a gorgeous day here in Kent.
Would love to thank everyone on this forum though, I have got so much help and advice from here and would have been lost without it.
Thanks:clapping:
