My daughter turns 8 in April, does this mean she's no longer in my numbers and I can care for another?
At present I have two children of my own so I can therefore care for 4 children under 8 at any one time.
Confused!

You need to contact Ofsted nearer the time and they will issue you a new certificate.
It should allow you to fill her place with another under 8 :D

Check with your planning dept as well as ofsted, I only have 2 kids under 8 so should be able to mind 4, but I have 4 kids under 14 so can only have 2 when they are all home according to council :(

I've just had mine changed due to my DD being 8, I not have another under 8 space and it will change again in october when my DS is 8, crikey I can then have 6 under 8's at any one one aswell as my own two!
I think I'll stick with my afterschoolers, i've just had to reassure a parent that I wont be terminating contracts now the mindee is 11, sheesh his older brother still comes to visit me too rather than go home, he is now 13 but a huge help too.
