Hi all starting childminding last week, so called Ofsted to say I now had a child on roll, I was told I had to do this.
Had a call today saying that my first inspection is due between now and 31st May. Do they still call about a week or two before or can I expect them at any time?? Want to get it over with but would like a bit more experoence than 2 weeks if you know what I mean lol.

Ofsted contacted me back in November to say that my inspection would be between then and the spring. They did phone again the week before they came out though :)
Don't worry they will call to make sure you are home before they come. I got a call on Fri 5pm asking me to let her know three days when I would make sure I would be home the week ahead. Good luck.

Thanks for your replys, I have a couple of things still to do, so glad they will call again, I have been looking on the ofsted site, searched 10 miles from my post code to read other reports got about 5 pages in an not one has had an inspection since 1st september.
Anyway I have 2 things to sort out and not too sure about how to do them
1. I still haven't done the coshh ~ not sure how to set this up
2. not started SEF do I have to contact ofsted to do this or download somthing or do they post you the forms. I know how to fill them in once I have them lol.
So any help of the above would be appriecated.
