Hi
I found this earlier when searching on the internet.
It's to teach pre-schoolers about the responsibility of having a dog, about working dogs, how to respect and treat dogs, etc. It's something that I want to teach my son about with there being so many horrific stories about children and dogs in the news over the last few months.
I have put it on my favourites to use for a topic at some point and thought I'd share it incase anyone else was interested.

Thanks for link, I was looking for something like that.
I have a loony black lab with a heart of gold but I find mindees that don't have animals tend to tease her so this booklet will be great for explaining to the older ones.
Many thanks

Thanks for this link,it's gonna come in handy. We have three dogs and they are angels with the children, both mine and minded, but this will be a good thing to do with all of them. Thanks!

hi thanks
This is great
I was getting a bit worried as when enquiring about becoming a childminder I mentioned I had a dog they said that it is ok
but I have two dogs i noticed someone said they had three was they ok with that
Is this going to be a problem and what are the rules and regulations about dogs and childminding
My o/h takes them into work with him most days but they will be here in the morning until 9 am
what should I do other than
( keeping kids and dogs seperate of course and making sure food/water is out of harms way and the garden is kept clean everyone washes hands if they have been in contact)
thanks
