Hi
I have just spoken to mindies mums J been with me for 2.5 yrs and younger brother 5 months starting in March, parent has just been told her job role is changing and she may have to attend additional training meaning temporarly changing to full time:panic: (apparently its in her contract) So leaves us stuck as i have just had a variation granted by Ofsted to allow me 4 under 5's on a tuesday and wednesday as when the younger brother starts with me i will be over my numbers for 6 hours on a tuesday and wednesday

Also i have another baby starting ( 6 months) Mon and Friday ( 8am - 5.30) (this parent also wants me to ask Ofsted if i can have a variation 2 allow 2 under 1 year on a thursday too).

I have attached a schedule for allocated times as it stands now and after with the additional hours.

OMG i have just read it back to myself and it sounds way too much anyone who is still reading this now well done.:clapping:

Really dont no what to do with this:panic:

That's sounds so complicated
- would do my head in.

Don't you think it's typical - just when you thought you had things sorted!!

hope you work it out soon! ;)

sorry a bit muddled

they have already granted you to have 4 under 5 but you need to change this to 4 under 5 but 2 under 1 ?

you can only ask they have already said you can have 4 under 5 so they might say yes

or is it that on the second one on Monday if i am right you will have 5 under 5 and will also need to apply for the extra one as well.

As far as I know Ofsted will only go to 4 under 5 unless you have an assistant but it is worth asking, just have a contingency plan ready if they say no.

yes would be 5 under 5 for a short space of time Tuesday and Wednesday is possible only an hour and longer for school hols.
I thought about taking on an assistant but the 2 children i would take on (siblings) i charge £5 per hour for the 2, i would need to pay someone more than that an hour to help me care for them.

Could my partner be a temporary assistant? what are the rules on this?

not sure on this one as with the CSSIW

i don't think they will let you have 5 under 5

not sure how it works with assistants

i am sure someone who knows more will be along

good luck
