Hi there,
I've just had a call from a mum about care for her child, starting on 9th of this month!! Currently I have down on my certificate that I can only look after 1 under school age (I have daughters of 9, 6 & 2 1/2). I range ofsted the other week to find out what I needed to do to get this change, however i haven't sent the letter off yet. He did say that it wouldn't be a problem to have another under 5. My question is, what can I do if the mum is happy for me to have her son, she needs to start work on Monday.
Thanks
Elaine

So long as your 6 year old has moved out of reception class, then you are legally ok to have the hcild.

BUT you must have your new certificate in your hand.

I suggest you email Ofsted with your request and follow it up in writing - try and get it in the post tonight.

Good luck! :D

AM I reading this wrong?

She has a 9yr a 6yr and a 21/2yr of her own and is only alowed 1 under 5 then the 6yr old is not the problem its the 21/2yr old and you would need a change to your numbers or a variation to allow what you want.

If it is to start on Monday then you will have to get on to OFSTED asap.

It is unlikley you will get your cert by this Monday though. Maybe the one aafter.
