Well I cant believe it, They called me last Friday and told me would come Mon or Tues this week. Well waited in all day yesterday no show, waited today phoned me at 10am to say they are not coming and no reason but would come sometime this week still. I had 2 mindees waiting to show off their creative skills and no one but me to show them to. I cant believe the stress I have been under no sleep for 2 nights and still no relief. What would happen if we said sorry I cant make that day but I will be in sometime this week?

poor you.
hope they come soon.
i had to cancel my inspection ( well, it was one of the days the inspector said she might come ) as my DS was ill, and i had to send everyone home, and i rang ofsted and told them, and they passed my message on to the inspector, who had been on her way ( ). the inspector then rang me back and said she would come one day the following week. i told her that i had activities i had to take the children to on particular days, as the parents paid for these! she told me i had to make myself available! i was upset by that, but when i then had to phone to say i wasn't working a couple of days the following week, as having to take DS to hospital, the same inspector rang me back again, and was lovely and arranged to come one of two days the following week!
so sorry, not much help, but it might be worth a call to say you can't make a particular day because XYZ ... they may still say you have to be in, but you never know!
good luck xxx

Poor you, i can imagine how that feels! My inspector told me she would be coming wed, thurs or Friday. I hoped she would come on the Wednesday so that I didn't have to wait and wait and get totally stressed out about it. She did come on the Wed and said that she thought she would so that I didn't get too worried and could get it over and done with, which was nice of her.
I hope they come today xxx

so sorry youre getting stressed out over this. what really annoys me is the difference in inspectors. i had my inspection 2 weeks ago and she phoned and said she was coming that week to which i said really soory but cant make that week so we made a day and time for the following week. she arrived half an hour early but was quite happy to wait in her car until i was ready. why cant they all be like that

Once again, the ofsted inspector lottery in evidence  . Thay are very keen for cm's to be consistent in daily practise, shame they can't get themselves to be more so !!
