Hi everyone, Had a call friday the ofsted inspector is coming Mon or Tues, the problem I have is where to put her. If at the kitchen table what about mindees snack and lunch time, but then I thought about sofa but then kids would bug her and want to play with her laptop. Where did you people put her, what do you think might be the best place. Im sooooooooo nervous

She will want to be wherever you and the children are. I think they're used to being bugged and having their laptop played with
Take a deep breath , you'll be fine :D

At my inspection recently, she sat on the sofa with her lap top most of the time, then every now and again, she came to sit along side us to ask a question or just observe what activities we were doing.
So the answer is, like everyone says, they will go where ever she needs or wants.
And same as Avril, my inspector was really nice too, good luck hope it goes well

My inspector started on the settee, followed me into the kitchen where we did a painting activity and then back into the lounge. She was really nice, even gave a suggestion about how to take the activity further. She then ended up sitting on the floor with me and the kids for a while.
Good Luck!

the lady who came for my pre-reg ask my daughter if she wanted to play on her laptop!!!!!!!!!!!
the table seems an easier place with paperwork and all but I have only one big room so she could see me and talk to me freely.

My one year old mindee bshed a few keys on my keyboard yesterday and managed to turn everything upside down on the screen! To the extent that if we moved the mouse up then on screen the cursor went down... My husband - who was trying to 'work' (ahem) on it was no best pleased......

My inspector decided herself where to sit.
She sat at my table (I have a lounge diner).
Don't worry about the kiddies bugging her, I am sure she's used to it, hun.

when i had my inspection she plonked her stuff on the sofa as a base and then came to us when she needed us. she was very kind and gentle towards the children.
