I have been pestering ofsted since March to have an inspection and it is now happening :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic:
I had a call 2 weeks ago to tel me she was coming either monday or thursday.
I have been working on my paperwork and now I have to put my house in shape...not an easy job!!
This is what I plan on having available for her to go through:
- children's folders
- children's learning journals
- policies and procedures
- children's contracts, authorisation forms...
- document that I give to parent ( welcome pack)
- fire drills
- risk assessments
- children's diaries
- my certificates

Do you think I have everything or do I need anything else?

I also wanted to ask, I use my car everyday for the school run as the school is too far. Will the inspector want to check my car??? Car seats...(they are all well fitted, the only reason I ask is I mighyt need to clean it then!!)

You seem to have all the paperwork ready.
I have my car insurance and a copy of my passport etc. in a folder; she didnt check my car.

Good luck for upcoming inspection, I had mine in dec and she was impressed that i had a visitors and comment book, so might be 1 that u would like to add.....:laughing:

I have all the same as you boxed up for her, as well as some photo albums ( have also done a slide show to put on the tv in the background :D ), newsletters, certificates and network folder, and all the info I have collected on child protection.

I would have said that they won't check your car but I would also have said that they won't check your garage for toy storage and check pushchairs have well fitting straps and correct attachments - but that is just what they did to a friend of mine on a recent inspection!! So who knows Elodie, perhaps better to be safe than sorry:huh:

mine checked all my storage areas :eek: she also asked how i ensure my car seats/highchair/prams are safe and secure so i pointed her to my RA's
