Hi, I was just wondering what sort of people should sign the visitors book. As I have 3 children who have left home but 2 of them pop in a few times a week. Do my family need to sign everytime they come to visit and a reason for visiting? Please help.

Hi, everyone who comes into your home and does not live with you needs to sign in and out the visitor log book(only during working hours). You don't need to put down a reason for visits but I do put C.M for childminder, Mum, son, daughter etc... Hope this helps. :)

I don't ask visitors to sign in and out but I do keep a record of who comes and for how long.

The Welfare Requirements tell you what to record
