Hi everyone,
Well I only started minding my first child today and this morning Ofsted calle dto say they would be out in a few weeks. :panic:
Can anyone tell me what they are looking for on a first inspection on a newly registered minder? Also could anyone tell me what a SEF is I feel a bit silly asking I have heard of them but not sure exactly what they are and how do you go about doing one. Have read somewhere that you need a pin number or something and Ofsted have never mentioned this to me:(
Thanks.

If you can't find your log in details for you Sef, you should give them a call and they will reset it for you and send new ones out.

Best get on with it really, so the inspector has something to read :D

I was panicking today and My inspector told me she visited someone on monday just registered, only had mindee a week and only had one page in childs records but that was fine cos we are new and she was suprised the amount of stuff i had so far. I wouldnt worry too much really as long as you have something and you home is safe, clean, risk assessments done and children happy they will understand. Good luck.
