I was only registered in october and the inspector then said 'see you february'. This afternoon half way through my ham sandwich i get a call saying they are coming wednesday will i be in? choking on the sandwich I asked morning or afternoon, she said im not supposed to say but it will be around 9.30  Not only do i have the screamer that day but im am nowhere near ready after all rush at xmas.
I am stuck with toys though and i dont know if i will have enough or the right ones :panic: im starting to panic now and theres 4 days left. Im quite confident with my paperwork, bathroom stuff, food and safety stuff etc just more bothered about toys and if mindee gonna scream house down lol.

anytoys are good toys hun
have you got ethnic toys/books? ..as theses are ones they look for mostly i believe
Go to charity shops monday (or 2moro-sat) and see if they got anything you could use - books, puzzles, cars etc etc

They come out anytime in the first 6 months...mine was 4 1/2 months...but only because when she first called mi dee was ill & I was unsure when he would be returning...that was my first week! I know of cm's that have been inspected at 6 weeks...
If your paperwork is up to date then I wouldn't panic about the toys...if you don't feel you have enough just create a wish list of things you intend to get as your business grows...I'm sure you'll be fine...Good luck.

You can borrow toys from your local toy library and get all the books you need from the library.
Ofsted will like that you access these services :)
You'll be just fine I'm sure *hugs*

The charity shops are a good place to look now for toys with people having a clear out after Christmas.
If you haven't got the time or money for that then just make up a wish list of things you'd like to get making sure you cover all areas of development - this will show Ofsted you've thought about it.
Good luck on Wednesday - I'm sure you'll be fine
Miffy xx
Have you any friends you can borrow toys from? Get everything out on the day so she/ he can see what you have got. As long as the toys you have are suitable for your mindees I'm sure you will be fine. Good luck for Wednesday.

Youve only been regiastered since october, im sure youre not expected to have large volumes of toys.
Make a wish list, add multicultural and ethnic toys and just say you intend to get them when able to afford.:)

I would call back and say that you don't have any children that morning and could she pick another day? No children means you can only get a satisfactory.

Be careful if you do that...she may check your attendance register when she does come...you'd have to say you ended up having mindee although you were not having him!
