does any one have any simple recipes i could use for chinese new year to make with the children and also for australia day please.
the childrens ages will be 2yrs, 3yrs ,5yrs,8yrs and 10yrs so needs to be simple for the younger ones

Australia day......how about a BBQ? lol. For chinese new year i usually do a stir fry with noodles.

Why not make a role play cafe for Chinese New Year.. write up proper menus like at the restaurant.
You could start with sweetcorn soup, then noodles or rice with favourite meat / veg and finish with oranges :D

got a toy bbq so gona do a pretend one in the living room with them dread to think what the parents will think when they say they had a bbq in my living room:eek:
but really wanted some recipes the children could help cook

Try making some Lamingtons - cakes covered in coconut - very Australian...
You could make this out of salt dough, rather than proper cooking and that way all the ages could join in and then you could have a dinner.

wow some brilliant ideas there thanks, thinks the kids will love making chinese moon cakes and the lamingtons.
