Every time I have a moan about parents who .....
Arrive late
Stay at the door and dont go at pick up
Forget to send nappies or wipes
Send kids poorly
Moan when I want them to collect their little ones when ill
Take me for granted
Dont look at their childrens daily diary
Screw the kids work up or dont even look at it
Ring me at the most stupidest times
Are late paying me - or worse ......
Forget to pay me
The list goes on and on
For all that
Im sooooo glad im a childminder because of the nice parents that I have
Today one of my parents gave me my christmas present early she said she thought I needed it due to my sad news etc
She had got me the biggest bunch of flowers - a big box of chocolates
My fav CK perfume
Also some books for our play room - cooking and story books
How nice was that
Makes me very happy to be a childminder when parents appreciate me like that

That's lovely Angel.
I got up this morning and after chasing my 2 dds to get up and out for the bus by 7.15, I was feeling run down and fed up then my first mindee arrived at 7.30 with a huge box of chocs. That cheered me up and there's still a few left!!!!!

Thats very nice of the mum. Its so good that some people do think and appreciate the few people that makes a different in their lives even though more than half the people you go out of way for never appreciates a thing.
Enjoy your gifts

It would be lovely to be appreciated all the time for the work we do with our mindees but little gestures from parents like the parent who gave angeldelight an early Christmas present make up for a great deal of the thoughtless behaviour of others :)

I know what you mean - I have four sets of parents, they are all lovely, this week one gave me what I thought was an Christmas card inside was £20 in Odeon vouchers and the most lovely letter, saying how much she approciates all I do for her lo and the confidence I give her in her parenting skills (she is a single mum) and support I offer has given her the confidence to continue with furthering her career and further study.
Definitely brought a tear to my eye. Nice of her to give me something for the family as childminding at home certainly impacts on the whole family.:)
