Hi

Can someone please clarify this for me please as I am totally confused. At the time that I was inspected for Pre-Reg my daughter was then 6 months old. My OFSTED Report says since July 08 she was then 8 months old. I only received my certificate in September just after she was 10 months old. So the whole time she was under a year.

On my certificate this is what it states:

"may care for no more than 4 children from 1 year to under 8 years; of these, not more than 2 may be under 5 years at any one time"

Here I would assume cos they said from 1 year to under 8 that my daughter is not included in that figure. That basically just state that I could not care for under 1, Am i therefore right in assuming that including my daughter I can then care for 5? I obviously need to notify OFSTED that she is 1 now, would that then mean that I would be allowed 1 under a year, my daughter and another one under 5, then 2 under 8.

Sorry if this sound confusing but I am totally confused myself.

Thanks

Your own child/ren dont come into the figures on your certificate so yes, you can have your daughter plus 2 more under 5 and then 2 5 - 8.

Hi michellethegooner

I emailed originally and then received a reply asking me to scan my signature which I did. Thanks as it does save the trip to post box.

When you new certificate comes back it will say that you can have the same number but will show 1 under 1 allowed.

When I changed mine I just emailed enqurieis@ofsted.gov.uk and a new certificate came in the post
