I was given notice for the little one that i look after a couple of weeks ago and he is finishing just before Christmas. I already had vacancies because the other little one i mind had started school in September so i had her full time place to fill. Anyway the phone hadn't rung with any enquiries since July so was getting a bit disheartened. Just as I'm sat here filling in an application form for a teaching assistants job thinking i was going to have to give up minding, i get a phone call off a lady wanting me to have her 2 girls part time from January. She's coming to sign contracts on Friday as i already know her through sure start centres. Then had another phone call for a lady wanting me to have her 2 children part time as soon as possible. Not sure if can have these two because its shift work so would mean a 6:20am start and dont know how it would fit in with the other children i mind but I'm gonna look into my numbers and stuff now and see! Things are finally looking up after a tough couple of weeks :clapping:

I turned down the 6:20am start lady cos there is just no way i would have been up and functioning that early. She'd already found another minder by the time i rang her back anyway. A couple of hours later though i got another phone call to mind a baby from January too. Am meeting with the mum on Friday morning to have a chat about it! :) Fingers crossed i get the baby too as then i would be full.
