Hi Everyone

This is my first post! :)
I've sent all my registration forms to Ofsted. Does anyone know what Ofsted think about greenhouses? I have one, and whilst I don't really want to take it down I will if I have to. Or, would safety film on the panels below waist height suffice?
What I don't want to happen, is for me to leave the greenhouse as it is, only for the inspector to say I cannot be registered until it is taken down, and then have to wait ages for another visit for Ofsted to confirm it has indeed been taken down!
Please can someone help?
Thanks, Sarah.

Unless you swap it for a plastic one, The inspector said to me before we went outside did I have a greenhouse, shed with glass windows or anything where standing water collects. Luckily my shed window is plastic and I said well anything can collect water but I dont have a pond. She was concerned over my water butt but because it is high up and a long slender compact one then she said I should just risk assess that it is hard for the lid to come off and too slim really and tall for a child to climb into. She said that if it had been a standard one then I would have had to remove it. They are pretty strict with safety, sorry.

re water butts we have a standard one and was told to weight the lid so can not be lifted by a child. was not told to remove it.If I had been told to remove it I would have argued about environment issues, lol!!! At the end of the day the kids are supervised at all times anyway. Also water butts are good topic re environment as are compost bins.. and yes I have one of those too!!!! (Ofsted had nothing to say about that!!!):)

Thanks everyone.
Looks like a will have to take it down. I can 100% understand that it presents a safety risk. I'll have to get a plastic one some time in the future! I also have a water butt & compost bin too - I think it's good to talk to children about environmental issues too :)
