I have had my inspection -well sort of, she is coming back from 2 till 2.30 to see me with a child who comes at 2pm. She told me that I am graded "good" in all areas.
SO I guess I am a "good" childminder! whoo hooo!!
It wasn't half as bad as I thought.
I have one recommendation - to be broader with my observations - she said I am doing really well with them but she is going to push me to do them better.
Thanks for all your good luck, it seemed to have worked!!

Yeah it's all over with now! She came back at 2pm to see me with a child who has severe allergies and to finalise her paperwork and that was it.
She was really nice.
She made it clear that under the EYFS that if you met everything you will get a satisfactory but if you do more such as fire drills, visitor forms, recording fridge temps etc and good obs you will get more than a satisfactory
SOme people i know personally say they are not going to do the SEF because they don't have to do it under the framework - but it all goes to help get more than satisfactory.
She said that it is harder now to get an outstanding, etc.
I am just so glad it is over, even though I did enjoy it in a strange way, cos she was so nice!!
It seems as if the paperwork side of things was more important in the inspection than looking after the children to be honest

Well done on your inspection - I am glad you "did enjoy it in a strange way cos she was so nice!!" I think if they are nice, it makes you feel more relaxed and they will get the best out of you.
Enjoy you drinks on Friday.

That's great feedback, thanks for that!
I've heard that 'good' is much harder to get now and that fits in with what you have said - perhaps good is equivalent to the old outstanding!
