i got my 'who minds' yesterday - and was absolutely disgusted to read that Cm's were allowed to smack kids until 2003!!!!! :eek: what kind of country do we live in where you have to legislate NOT to smack a small child?!? ?

My mum used to tell our childminders to smack us if we were naughty. :(

Its interesting, I think, how poorly this country values its children. Yeah - we are better than most - but we still have a hell of a way to go.
