i had my inspection on 13/10 and all went really well and i received good in all areas and as i had only been following the eyfs for 4 weeks (as i was away for 2 weeks in sept , and i have not yet done any training) , i know i should of started it sooner but wanted to do the training first and my DO said i was doing everything anyway with the daily diaries , so during my inspection she asked what information i share with the childs pre- school / school etc (both kids started new settings in sept), i said i discuss any events /incidents with their key-worker if the need arises and any information is recorded in their diary and or discussed with parents, i had also already done 1 obs per child when she came, so i was abit shocked when i received my report and it said this:
However, equal focus is not given to all aspects of the curriculum and the childminder does not seek input about children's educational progress from other key practitioners such as their pre-school key person, to support her planning.
what is that about ? do they expect me to meet with their key-worker to talk about their educational progress when i probably know more than they do having looked after the child for the last 2 years, also it implies that my planning should be based around the pre-school and school activities rather than be child led, how can i do that when i collect children from 3 different settings, also i was a bit annoyed that i received it in the post wed and it was published on fri, i thought they had to give you time to read it and appeal if you didnt agree with any part of it ,
i just wondered what everyone else thought,
