There have been big ructions recently about the food some nurseries are serving children.
Some of them are still serving food which is now banned in schools!:eek:
The following website gives more information and there is a petition to sign if you want to join the campaign for more govt guidance on nutrition for the pre-schoolers...

Perhaps we would be better off campaigning for parents to choose childminders before nurseries, so that they get decent food! :rolleyes:

I saw that some of them are spending just a few pennies on each meal:eek: . And many of them are the bung in the oven nuggets and chips type things. Really bad.

some preschools give bad stuff too , a local one to me gives milk shake all the time :(

Sorry that this is slightly off subject but was just wondering if anybody has been told to check the food temp? In the creche where I work we need to check the temp with a temperature probe and record all the details eg date, type of food, length of time cooked, temp etc. x
